A Website as Inspiring as the Art It Represents
The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art creates exhibitions and activities that explore contemporary art from artists of today and tomorrow from around the world. Their thought-provoking galleries nurture creative exploration and deliver their mission of creating a greater understanding of the world through contemporary art.
Our challenge was to design a website that mirrors these values.
Using the branding by Founded, we incorporated:
- Typographically driven animations that guide users through a visually rich and dynamic online experience.
- An accessibility-first approach to ensure the site is welcoming to all users.
- Bold, modern design that reflects the impact of Baltic's exhibitions
Navigation: From Discovery to Delivery
With so much content for the website, an in-depth discovery phase was needed to ensure the user's navigation experience was efficient - not only for ease of use but to help direct users to the desired pages. The solution was to create a full-screen navigation system initiated from a hamburger icon.
