Oliver Heath Design
A biophilic, beautiful online experience.
Oliver Heath Design (OHD) is a Brighton-based biophilic interior design agency led by Changing Rooms alumnus Oliver Heath. Their team of researchers, psychologists, and designers are experts in the field of Biophilic Design – the practice of harnessing our innate connection to nature to improve the spaces where we live and work. With a reputation as thought leaders in their field, OHD are frequently consulted on sustainability and biophilia, shaping conversations across industries.
We began with a deep dive into OHD’s existing website to identify pain points, uncover opportunities, and map user behaviours. Workshops with the OHD team allowed us to explore their mission, goals, and unique personality, helping us define how the brand should be experienced online
We discovered that their existing digital presence didn’t fully convey the depth of their expertise, the breadth of their services, or the distinctive identity of the agency itself. From there, we expanded our research into their audience. By segmenting different user types and mapping their needs, we developed a new navigation system that was intuitive, structured, and future-focused.
Alongside the redesign, we worked closely with OHD to review and refine their existing content. A comprehensive content audit revealed strengths to build on and areas in need of clarity. We provided guidance to improve copy, ensuring it was accessible, engaging, and aligned with the team’s goals. Another challenge was separating the Oliver Heath Design brand from Oliver Heath as an individual, ensuring the company was recognised for its collective expertise rather than being solely tied to Oliver’s personal profile.
One standout change was reworking their proposition statement. The original version didn’t fully reflect who OHD are or the value they deliver. By carefully refining this message, we helped them present a stronger, clearer identity that instantly communicates their expertise in biophilic design.
The new website needed to be more than functional – it had to reflect OHD’s ethos and design philosophy. We set out to create a digital environment that felt like an extension of their real-world spaces. By using carefully chosen colour palettes, subtle textures, and "moodboard-inspired" design elements, we wove biophilic principles directly into the user experience.
The result is a site that feels calm, immersive, and engaging, giving visitors a sense of OHD’s work from the moment they arrive. Functionality and usability were central throughout: while the site is visually rich, it remains intuitive and easy to navigate, ensuring the experience is both beautiful and practical.
