About Us

We transform the digital landscape with over a decade of insight, innovation & expertise, welcome to Grandad

We started Grandad to make digital experiences in the arts, culture and entertainment sector feel clearer, more connected and more effective. As a team, we bring together design, technology and sector experience to solve the kinds of challenges that often sit between systems, audiences and organisations.

Too often, venues and cultural organisations are held back by fragmented tools, complex ticketing setups and websites that don’t fully support their goals. Our focus is on removing that friction, creating joined-up digital platforms that help teams work more efficiently and help audiences engage more easily, from discovery through to booking and beyond.

What we do

We design and build websites for arts, culture and entertainment organisations, helping them create better experiences for their audiences and stronger outcomes for their teams.

Our work combines UX design, technology and systems integration to improve how people discover, engage with and book events online. We focus on creating intuitive, accessible and high-performing digital experiences that are easy to manage and built to evolve.

How we work, and why it works

We combine strategy, design and technology to create digital experiences that improve performance over time. Our process begins with a deep understanding of your organisation, your audiences and the challenges you face, allowing us to focus on what will make the greatest impact. From there, we design intuitive, accessible experiences and build scalable platforms that integrate seamlessly with your wider systems, ensuring everything works together to support both your team and your users. Our work is grounded in UX, conversion and clarity, helping organisations make it easier for audiences to discover, engage and take action. We also believe in continuous improvement, refining and evolving digital experiences based on real-world insight long after launch.

Our principles

At Grandad, we embody a rounded approach that defines our team spirit.

Life at Grandad

Grandad is based in Projects Brighton, in the heart of the city’s South Lanes. Surrounded by a vibrant creative scene, Brighton’s independent spirit and energy influence how we approach our work every day. We’re proud to be part of this community, and to collaborate with local organisations like Brighton Festival on their websites.

Our studio culture reflects that same sense of curiosity and experimentation. We enjoy exploring new ideas in ticketing, data and digital experiences.

We make time to step away from the screen together too - whether that’s through our quarterly socials, time by the sea, or activities around the city that keep things fun, collaborative and connected.

Meet the team

It’s our team’s hard work and experience that allows us to do what we do.
We are a collection of industry veterans who've spent decades mastering the art and science of website development. Our team brings together deep expertise in UX, design, technical delivery, and systems integration - but what truly sets us apart is our ability to see beyond the code and craft human stories that resonate.
