The Patient Information Forum (PIF) stands as the definitive independent membership body for health information professionals, distinguished by their PIF Tick - the industry's only recognised quality marker for health information. When they approached us, it was evident that their digital presence wasn't reflecting their prestigious position in the healthcare sector.

Our partnership with PIF began with a clear mission: to create a website that would not only showcase their professional standing today but continue to serve them well into the future. We understood that success meant more than just an aesthetic upgrade - it required building a platform that would actively engage members and attract new ones to their community.

At the heart of our solution was a complete brand refresh. We developed a clean, modern visual identity that perfectly balanced PIF's progressive, inclusive ethos while honoring their rich heritage in healthcare information. This fresh approach set the foundation for a more engaging digital experience.

Understanding that member value drives subscriptions, we implemented a sophisticated content access system. This strategic approach allows full access for members while giving non-members carefully curated previews, effectively demonstrating the value of PIF membership. We enhanced the member experience through personalised profile pages and tailored communications, nurturing a stronger connection between PIF and its community.

The results have been remarkable. The new website has successfully cultivated an active, engaged community through its discussion forum, streamlined event booking system, and simplified renewal process. Most notably, we've seen an impressive 198% year-over-year growth in user engagement. This substantial increase in user activity demonstrates how our solution has transformed PIF's digital presence from a simple website into a vibrant, professional community hub for health information professionals.

Our ongoing partnership with PIF is continually evolving, upholding PIF's role as the foremost authority in quality health information. After 8 years since our initial website collaboration, we recognised the need for an update to enhance their online presence. Commencing with a comprehensive assessment of their existing website, we compared it against their current business needs and aspirations. Consequently, we proposed a refined information architecture, revamped communications strategy, and enhanced UI patterns to better align with their objectives, thus establishing a resilient foundation for their ongoing expansion.
