12 years ago, a collection of industry veterans joined forces to blend cutting-edge technology with intuitive design. They’d already spent years working together, but this was the first time they worked together under the name Grandad.

Since that day, our team has developed into the collection of experts our clients have grown to value. We’ve worked on countless projects, each worth celebrating, but today, we’re highlighting the cornerstone project for each of these dozen years.

Year one - Brighton Dome

We started off strong with a local legend, the South Coast's leading multi-arts venue, Brighton Dome.

Our journey together started when Brighton Dome recognised the need to modernise their digital presence. The challenge was clear: transform an outdated website into a contemporary platform that would do justice to this magnificent venue's rich heritage while meeting modern audience expectations.

What makes us most proud isn't just the technical achievements or the beautiful design - it's how we've become an extension of the Brighton Dome team.

Year two - SA Law

SA Law emerged into the legal landscape in 2005 with an aim to exceed the expectations of those seeking legal counsel. 10 years later, they met the perfect website partner, Grandad, a fellow team of experts with an aim to exceed expectations.

That’s when our partnership began, with a call to create a website that would serve as a virtual gateway to their expertise and offerings. The impact of this website was profound, a surge in new business inquiries and newfound campaign flexibility.

Year three - The Production Guild of Great Britain

Year three was when our partnership with The Production Guild of Great Britain began. They were faced with a cumbersome verification system that hampered participation and needed Grandad’s expertise to reimagine the process.

The project continues to exemplify how strategic digital innovation can transform a membership organisation into a dynamic, engaging community that celebrates and elevates industry professionals.

Year four - NSEAD

We marked year four with the release of NSEAD’s website. This project is the perfect representation of promoting membership value and crafting intuitive journeys.

We enhanced membership value with clear distinctions between public and exclusive content. A ‘freemium’ model offering enticing previews, while a simple lock icon to help users instantly recognise member-only content, encouraging subscriptions.

I could tell you about the increases in membership that NSEAD saw, but Michelle Gregson, General Secretary of NSEAD, said it perfectly.

We have seen an uplift in membership, by 37% since Oct 1st 2019. To put that rise into context, we have not had more than a 3% rise in the last 10 years. It was our work with Grandad on the new website that made this happen.

Year five - MacIntyre

It was back in year five when one of our closest partnerships began. We’ve always been proud to have been part of this inspiring charity's work, knowing the digital presence we have provided them with will grow their donations and support their work.

MacIntyre’s mission is to empower people who have a learning disability and/or are autistic to live gloriously ordinary lives. We crafted a website to reflect this mission while seamlessly connecting visitors to support, career opportunities, and donation avenues.

Year six - Patient Information Forum

A highlight of our sixth year was kick-starting our work with the Patient Information Forum (PIF). They stand as the definitive independent membership body for health information professionals, distinguished by their PIF Tick - the industry's only recognised quality marker for health information.

Our job was to upgrade their digital presence to match this prestige, and we continue to work with them to optimise their platform. Continuously enhancing member engagement, driving subscriptions, and showcasing the value of their PIF Tick quality mark.

Year seven - Warwick Arts Centre

2020 wasn’t just unforgettable because of… well… the obvious. It was unforgettable because we had begun our partnership with the iconic Warwick Arts Centre. Not only that, it was also the year we began our first Spektrix integration, starting us off on our journey to become leading Spektrix partners.

The project delivered remarkable wins on multiple fronts: the implementation of striking new branding, the creation of an intuitive user journey, and the implementation of our accessibility expertise set new standards for digital accessibility in the arts sector.

Our ongoing partnership with Warwick Arts Centre shows our skills in the arts sector. It highlights our ability to deliver excellence, push the boundaries and provide strong returns on investment.

Year eight - Electric Square

In year eight, immersive design met innovation when our work with Electric Square commenced. As a gold-standard AAA game studio, we knew they’d need a website that matches their innovation and ambition.

Bringing their Art Deco-inspired branding to life was key to making the site feel uniquely Electric Square. We introduced motion graphics, animated elements, and bold visuals to create a truly cinematic digital experience.

Year nine - Baltic

We couldn’t talk about the highlights without discussing where our award-winning journey with the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art started.

Our collaboration started with their main website. We sought to online experience that would captivate and inspire their diverse audience, in the same way their galleries do. Featuring an intuitive navigation, typography-driven animations and an accessibility-first approach, the website is truly inspiring.

In the years since, we’ve had the pleasure of working on two additional website projects, each reflecting our commitment to delivering high-quality, bespoke digital solutions.

Year ten - Keywords Studios

Who could have been more perfect to mark one decade than the powerhouse that is Keywords Studios? We needed to develop a comprehensive language, value proposition, and communications strategy that could resonate with their diverse, global team while effectively showcasing their extensive service offerings.

This transformation hasn't just created a website – it's built a digital ecosystem that supports Keywords Studios' continued growth and maintains their position at the forefront of the gaming industry.

Year eleven - Welcome to Wandsworth

The Borough of Wandsworth was chosen to be 2025’s London Borough of Culture. With this news afoot, our new friends at Wandsworth Council came to us looking to revitalise the brand and digital presence of the borough.

We got started with the creation of a brand that could serve as the beating heart of Wandsworth’s cultural celebration. We named it ‘Welcome to Wandsworth’.

But we couldn’t stop there, they needed a website that could connect the borough’s creative community, residents, and visitors. A dynamic and engaging website that serves as a gateway to everything Wandsworth has to offer.

Wandsworth Council were so inspired by the success of our work that they wanted a Grandad rebrand for themselves. We got to work providing a fresh new identity, working with their in-house creative team to let it sing throughout the borough.
