Huntsville Symphony Orchestra
Creating a digital stage that connects audiences with the transformative power of live symphonic music.
Since the start of this project, we have been dedicated to creating a digital extension of an institution with deep cultural and historical significance. As North Alabama’s premier performing arts group and the oldest continuously operating professional orchestra in the state, the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra (HSO) has long been a bridge between tradition and progress, community and creativity.
The challenge was clear: to design a platform that could reflect HSO’s artistic excellence while making it easier than ever for audiences to discover, support, and engage with their programming.

At the heart of the build was a Spektrix integration, ensuring ticket booking is smooth, accessible, and enjoyable. Our approach began with our tried-and-tested What’s On design, refined to deliver intuitive navigation and improved conversion rates. But we went further – reshaping the standard Spektrix flow, and embedding membership and donation pathways to strengthen revenue streams and philanthropic support. Pushing Spektrix functionality further, customers have the option to not just buy one ticket, but to subscribe to a series, buying tickets for multiple events in a series at the same time.
HSO were an early adopter of our new subscription model of Spektrix websites, demonstrating how cultural organisations can launch a powerful, fully integrated platform at speed. In fact, this subscription model allowed the build to go from discover to deliver, in just five working days.

Beyond functionality, we placed emphasis on accessibility (with WCAG 2.2 AA as standard) and sustainability, ensuring the site is inclusive, responsible, and built with long-term resilience in mind.
The result is more than a ticketing platform. It’s a digital stage – one that invites exploration, inspires support, and connects audiences to the extraordinary experiences that only the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra can deliver.
