When Pact, the UK's leading trade body for independent production and distribution companies in the screen sector, embarked on creating a new website, they chose a collaborative approach. Our team was entrusted with the crucial UX and design elements of the project, working alongside Trillium who handled the development.
At the core of our design strategy was a distinctive red stadium shape, which became a defining element of Pact's visual identity. This striking motif wasn't confined to just the website - it flowed seamlessly across PowerPoints, banners, emails, and social media, creating a cohesive brand presence across all platforms. We also implemented a strategic content separation between members and non-members, enhancing the value of Pact membership.
One of our primary challenges was developing an intuitive resource filtering system. We took an iterative approach, beginning with initial designs that we then refined through hands-on testing with Pact's members. Their valuable feedback proved instrumental in transforming our initial concept into a streamlined, efficient system that makes resource discovery effortless for members.
The success of our collaboration with Pact extends beyond just delivering an effective website. By focusing on their long-term needs rather than viewing this as a one-off project, we've built a lasting partnership. This approach has led to our continued collaboration, and we're proud to say we've now completed our fourth project with them.
