A website renovation to increase awareness, website visitors and conversions for this iconic music venue
When Turner Sims, the University of Southampton's vibrant music venue, they were facing a challenge familiar to many established cultural institutions. Despite their rich legacy of hosting students, emerging artists, and renowned musicians alike since 1974, their digital presence wasn't resonating with their audience's evolving needs. With fresh branding from Zap Creative already in place, they needed a website that would amplify their musical legacy while meeting modern expectations.
What made this project particularly exciting was the opportunity to pioneer an integration between Spektrix and WordPress. A first, despite our extensive experience with both platforms separately. This innovative combination created a frictionless ticketing journey that keeps audiences engaged and tickets selling. Drawing from our decade-plus expertise in the Arts and Culture sector, we crafted a sophisticated 'What's On' page featuring predictive search and intuitive filtering, making event discovery effortless for visitors. The booking journey was carefully designed to maximize revenue through strategic placement of donation opportunities, membership offers, and upselling options.
Accessibility and sustainability formed the foundation of our approach, allowing us to create a design that truly puts the joy of music in the spotlight, no matter who was exploring. The result is more than just a stunning website – it's a digital platform that celebrates Turner Sims' musical heritage while opening new channels for audience connection.
