Custom Seat Plan

BEAM Hertford describe themselves as a launchpad, recognising the transformational power of Arts & Culture. Our work in the industry is centred on innovation and technology that transforms the Arts & Culture industry. Naturally, Grandad and BEAM made the perfect digital partnership.

When building their website and Spektrix integration, we aimed to leverage this partnership, integrating our latest ticketing innovations and pushing the boundaries. Our work on their Custom Seat Map is a testament to this. The solution eliminates iframes entirely. From the moment you hook them in, through the purchase journey and beyond the moment of trust, the buyer's experience is intuitive and on brand.

A key step in this purchase journey is seat selection. A step that brings complexity: various seating plans, accessibility requirements and pricing information all need to be communicated. Not to mention, each venue brings a unique perspective and experience with Spektrix. Using iframes, these complexities only build, harming the user experience, that’s why we built our Custom Seat plan.

Our UX and UI Design expertise came together to create an interface that is an extension of BEAM’s website: vibrant, accessible, bold, mobile-friendly and intuitive. Buyers can find the right seats for them, narrowed down by price range, area, availability and access requirements, friction-free! This empowers customers to purchase with confidence. Furthermore, accessibility is handled with intelligence. Nimbus’ Access Card holders are prompted to log in to their MyBEAM account, which stores their requirements. Then, once they reach the seat map, seats that fit their requirements are highlighted, ensuring a smooth purchase journey is provided to BEAM’s entire community.
