Priority Booking

The London Handel Festival (LHF) is the UK’s only full-time organisation dedicated to the performance and celebration of music by George Frederic Handel. Each year, they run a festival dedicated to Handel’s work. Leveraging our experience from supporting over 30 total festival seasons, it was important that we created a website that visually and technically matches the standards of the music LHF celebrates.

Along with many festivals, a big revenue driver for LHF is membership, with an offering of six membership levels. The popularity of their events provides an ideal opportunity to encourage signups - staggering onsales. Each day leading up to events going on sale to the public, booking opens for another membership level. Using Priority Booking rewards members for their support - the higher the membership level, the more control they have over their festival season.

This strategy is effective, and that’s why so many festivals and arts organisations use it. But iframes and clunky integrations can turn a unique upselling opportunity into another place for potential customers to drop off. An experience that wouldn't match up to our seamless, iframe-free booking journeys. That’s why we created our Priority Booking Solution.

For the LHF team, the setup is simple and handled within the CMS. They simply put in dates, times and membership levels and it’s scheduled! No need to be waiting in the system to launch an on sale as it happens. Plus, the team can create custom messaging at the event level, ensuring buyers stay informed, confident and ready to become a member.

It’s not only for members, the general booking can also be scheduled with tailored communications. We understand that festival organisers and venue managers are busy - so we make managing the website easy - giving them one less headache during busy periods.
